Gary J Head is an Australian author, engineering consultant and entrepreneur with more than 40 years of experience across mining, automotive, aviation and heavy engineering.

His career has centred on understanding systems — how they work, why they fail, and what can be discovered by questioning the assumptions on which they were built.

That systems-based approach eventually expanded into an exploration of history, consciousness, comparative religion, philosophy, symbolism and the nature of reality.

Gary is the author and creator of The Flat Earth Machine Project.

Flat Earth Machine: More Than Just a Novel is Gary J Head's debut speculative fiction novel.

The story follows a man searching for truth who is drawn beneath Antarctica into a hidden world where history, religion, science and consciousness begin to converge.

Guided through extraordinary places and encounters, he discovers a reality shaped by forgotten history, cycles of reset, systems of control and questions about human consciousness itself.

The journey moves from beneath the Antarctic ice to the Moon, Uluru, Shangri-La, Burkina Faso, the Vatican and ultimately toward a confrontation with the architecture behind the Machine.

Despite its title, Flat Earth Machine is about much more than the physical shape of the world.

It is about the shape of the human mind — and what happens when we become willing to question what we think we know.
